About The Yard Index

The Yard Index publishes one list per city per month: the top ten landscapers in that city, scored from public Google Business Profile data by a formula anyone can read. It is presented by D'Amico Digital, a Florida marketing firm, and that relationship is stated on every page rather than buried.

Why it exists

Search for a landscaper in any Florida city and you get a page of ads, a map of the three businesses closest to you, and a stack of directories that sell position to whoever pays. None of that tells a homeowner who is actually doing good work in their city, and none of it tells a landscaper where they stand.

So we built one list that cannot be bought. Same formula for everyone, published in full, rebuilt every month from data Google already shows on each business’s own profile. Homeowners get a shortlist that is not an auction. Landscapers get a straight answer about their own profile, which is the part most of them have never been shown.

How it is paid for

Nobody pays to be on a list and nobody pays us to publish one. D'Amico Digital runs The Yard Index because some of the businesses that read their score page decide they want help closing the gaps it shows, and they hire us for that. Who is included

Landscapers serving 10 Florida cities, with at least 5 reviews on a profile that is open and inside the city’s service radius. Nobody opts in and nobody can buy their way in; the field is whoever Google shows for that city. The methodology lists every exclusion and every weight.
